Privacy
What we collect, why, and how to have it deleted. No cookies, no ad tracking.
We collect what we need to rent you gear and to see which pages are useful. We don't set cookies, we don't run ad trackers, and we don't sell or share your details.
When you send a rental request
We store what you typed: your name, your WhatsApp number or email, where you're staying, your dates, the gear you chose, the estimate the site showed you, and any notes. We use it to reply to you, prepare your rental and keep a record of it.
The request is saved in our database and sent as a private alert to our team's phone. If you chose WhatsApp, the same details open in a WhatsApp message that you send yourself.
When you browse the site
- We count page views, items added to a rental, WhatsApp opens and what people search for, so we know what to stock and which pages help.
- Each count carries the page that sent you here, and your country and city as estimated by our hosting provider. It doesn't carry your name or your IP address.
- Your browser keeps one random ID in its local storage so we can tell that a request came from the same visit as the page views before it. It isn't a cookie, it isn't shared with anyone, and clearing your browser data removes it.
- To stop spam, a request also stores your browser type and a scrambled, one-way version of your IP address. We can't turn it back into the address.
Your ID photo
When you book, we ask for a photo of your passport or ID over WhatsApp. It's used for one thing: knowing who has the gear. We delete it once the gear is back and the deposit is settled.
Who else handles the data
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database, and provides our visitor statistics. Their analytics don't use cookies and don't follow you across other sites.
- WhatsApp carries our conversations with you.
- Telegram delivers the private request alert to our team.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads.
Your footage
It never touches our systems. Cards that come back are wiped in front of you. We never copy or keep your footage.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your details
Message us on WhatsApp and ask. We'll tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it within 7 days. We keep records of completed rentals for our bookkeeping, without your ID photo.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we change this page first. The date under the heading shows the last update.
